Always Remember Blog Tour!

Always Remember Blog Tour.

I don't know how Emma Hart does it, but she's got another book out and ready for us.

Author Bio:
By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to a terrible two year old and growing bump, due September 2013. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of juice and writes books.
She likes to write about magic, kisses and whatever else she can fit into the story. Sarcastic, witty characters are a must. As are hot guys.
Emma is currently working too many books to even count - including Playing for Keeps, the companion book to New York Times and USA Today bestselling novel, The Love Game. She likes to be busy - unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to when all the ideas come to life.

 Blurb:
How long does it take for a long-distance relationship to break down? Sixteen months.
When Jen and Carl put their relationship to rest after Christmas, Jen’s biggest problem is going back to London ten days earlier than planned – and her ever-present attraction to Samuel ‘Bing’ Edwards.
Bing has no idea why Jen left Devon so fast. All he knows is that he wants her as much as he did the first day he laid eyes on her – so spending time with her while Lexy is still in Devon isn’t exactly a hardship for him. When he finds out she’s single, the only thing on his mind is finishing what they started at his dad’s fiftieth birthday party.
Feelings that have been a long time building between the two explode, and they both find themselves sucked into an easy yet passionate relationship, with Bing determined to prove to Jen that she’s it for him.
   That she is The One.
But in a city like London, the odds are stacked against them, and there’s always that one person ready to stir things up… And Jen doesn’t know how much of that she can take – even for the guy she loves more deeply than she ever imagined, and eventually she breaks.
Bing isn’t down with that. He wants Jen, and he wants her by his side for good.
Jennifer Mason must learn that Samuel Edwards doesn’t do giving up. Especially not when his forever girl is involved.

I told Miss Emma Hart that I would do a Pre-Release Promo for her new book Always Remember.

I don't know how she does it, but even just the covers of her books make me want to read them all!

Always Remember Synopsis

Teaser Tuesday

I've finally come up with a name for my novel, with the help of the wonderful Rachel Walter. I was freaking out a couple weeks ago because I had come to realize that I didn't have a title, just a series name. So, the title of my novel will be Provoke The Darkness. Book One of the Grave Marked series.

So on to the teaser.

When people are writing their stories, they always imagine what their characters look like, thankfully, one of my main characters in PTD was pictured like a girl I went to school with.

"There are things about my life, that you'll never understand" she yells at me, wiping the tears from her face. This is the first time that I have ever seen Maddie cry, and it breaks my heart.
"Then why not share them with me now," I state, hurt that she's been holding something back from me, "what have you got to lose, you're already dead." I kick myself in the ass, as the words come from my mouth. I look to the ground, ashamed that I've stooped so low as to say something like that to my best friend. My hands start to shake, and the air around me grows cold. I shiver. "I'm sorry, Maddie" I look up, but she's already gone.

Snippet of GM, like I promised.

Ever since that day I woke up from a coma, after finding out that my best friend killed herself, I have taken things a little slower. I stop and appreciate the beauty around me.
I make my way down to this specific spot, there's nothing special about to place for anyone else, but for me, it holds everything. Never would I want to sit in any one place for so long if it didn't have to, but I could sit here for hours and still not want to leave. Time seems to slow down when I'm here, it's like they don't want me to leave. They don't have that much company anymore, not after what's happened to them. Some get visitors once a year, most of them, less than that. I bring them peace and comfort.
I sit in silence, feeling the earth beneath me, listening to the whisper of the wind. Feeling safe.
“Ethan,” an elderly looking woman whispers my name, “what are you doing here, you shouldn't be here!” her voice not only getting louder but has fear in it. “You need to leave! You need to leave before it's too late!” she yells at me, while motioning her hands as if shooing a cat.
All I can do it just sit there and look at her. I've never seen her before but it doesn't surprise me that she knows my name. What surprises me is the warning she is giving me. What does she mean?
“I don't understand,” I whisper, not trusting my voice to go any louder, “why are you trying to make me leave, and what is this warning you are giving me?” Hoping that she can hear me, being so old and what not.
“I can hear perfectly fine!” the woman yells at me. I feel her glare as I look down at the ground, feeling ashamed. She could hear my thoughts, no one else here could. Who is this crazy woman! “What's going on?” I ask firmly, standing up so she's not looking down on me, “ why is it that you can hear my thoughts?
“It's too late to explain that now.” she says as she turns around and vanishes.
The ground beneath my feet starts to shake, I stumble to grab a hold of Maddies headstone. What is happening, I hear the voice inside my head say. We don't get earthquakes here in Calgary.

The Love Game Tour Stop!

Well it's the seventh of April and I hope you all know what that means! It means that The Love Game Book Tour is making its stop here on my blog!

I asked if I could do an author interview and I was stoked when I found out that I would be able to. Now, with this being my first ever book blog tour post, I didn't know what to expect, or do, or ask. But I managed to make it through, all in one piece.

With my author interview, I wanted to learn more about our lovely Emma Hart. So I decided to ask more personal questions, rather than questions about her book.

Just in case you're crazy and have been living under a rock for the last little while, here is Emma!

Isn't she just the cutest thing you've ever seen?

Author Bio
By day, Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to a terrible two year old and cooking baby, due September 2013. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of wine – well, tropical juice now – and writes books. She likes to write about magic, kisses and whatever else she can fit into the story. Sarcastic, witty characters are a must. As are hot guys. She's working on the companion novel to her latest release and NA debut, Never Forget (Memories #1), and The Love Game (The Game, #1) will release on March 29th. She likes to be busy - unless busy involves doing the dishes. Ironically, that's where most of her ideas come from. Her debut YA series, The Mauve Legacy, is an Apple iBooks Bestseller - and this makes Emma excited.

Now for the part that gave me the most excitement! My interview!

-Where abouts did you grow up, and what was it like?

I grew up in North Devon, the setting of my first New Adult novel, Never Forget. Although I live in the main town in the area, we’re very much in the country and we’re also close to the coast. I spent most of my childhood running through woods, climbing trees, and playing in fields. Give me a pair of wellies over some heels any day. ;)

-What did you want to be when you were a child?

I wanted to be a little of everything, but an author always stuck out. I loved reading and I’d sit for hours getting lost in a make-believe world.

-When did you decide that you wanted to write, and what triggered that moment?

My defining moment was Spring 2012. I’d just finished a four month counseling session for something that happened early on in my teens, and I needed an outlet. After discovering the beauty of indie books, I decided to write one myself.

-How many story ideas I you scrap before you found the right one to write?

I actually published two short stories on Smashwords before writing my Young Adult series, The Mauve Legacy. (The stories have since been taken down, and I plan to rework one into a full length novel later this year.)

-Do you have any hope in you novels being turned into movies?

Of course! One day I’d love to see one of my books on the big screen, but until then, I play them out in a movie in my mind as I write, so that will do for now!

-If yes, any particular actor/actress you'd like to see play your main characters?

I’ve never thought about it, to be honest. Especially not for The Love Game! I studied Drama for my GCSE exams, and I think it’s more than someone looking like the characters, they have to really be them. If I ever had a movie made, I’d want the actors to really believe in the characters they were playing.

-When you're not writing, what can you be found doing?

Honestly? Cleaning dishes, wiping a dirty face/bum/hands, or *coughs* online shopping.

-Does the music you listen to effect the way your story turns out?

Music is a big influence on all of my stories. I compose playlists on Spotify, then close to release I publish them for others to see. If I’m struggling to get into a scene, I’ll listen to the playlist while doing something else and I’ll be writing within an hour.

-On average, how many words do you think you write on a daily basis?

Around 4,000 words – but it can be as little as 2,000 or as many as 10,000. (Yes, I’ve done that before!)

-Have you ever written a scene that was so moving that it brought you to tears?

I have this issue where I get really attached to my characters, so when I’m writing moving scenes I really feel it all. I cried while writing both Never Forget and The Love Game. I can’t actually read those scenes again without crying.

-What's one thing that no one else knows about you?

Umm, I’m not sure. I’m a pretty open person, so the only thing probably not known is my bra size. LOL

-What is something that you would write in a letter to the thirteen year old Emma Hart?

I was having a really tough time then, so I’d tell her that it’d be over soon, and no matter how hard it gets, never to give up because it does get easier. I’d tell her that I’m proud of her, too.

-Do you have a quote that you live by?

Never give up. It’s short, but true.

-What is your writing snack?

Currently, sour sweets. And jelly. (English jelly. Not American jelly.)

-What do you have planned for us next, another book in the making?

Funny you should ask that… I think it’s probably easier to refer to the Upcoming Releases page on my blog. (Upcoming Releases!)

-Who is your role model, your inspiration?

I’m inspired a lot by classic authors such as Enid Blyton, Jane Austen, and Louisa May Alcott. I owe my love of fiction to all three authors.

-Last question. What advice to you have for young people who want to be writers?

Just write. All first drafts are a load of crap, but if you want to see your book out there badly enough, you’ll spend however long it takes to get it good enough to publish. I wrote my first book at eighteen, I’ll have hopefully published over ten by the time I’m twenty.

Thank you for the time Emma. I look forward to reading more of your work soon.

Thanks for having me, Christopher! I had a blast. ;)

And since this post is part of a book tour for her newest book, I thought I too would share a little bit about the book.

The Love Game
Emma Hart

Synopsis

His challenge? Make her fall in love with him.
Her challenge? Play the player.
Until life changes the rules of the game.

Maddie Stevens hated Braden Carter on sight. Arrogant, egotistical, and the playboy of the University of California, Berkeley, he's everything her brother Pearce has taught her to despise. So why, when the girls challenge her to play the player, doesn't she say no? She doesn't know either.
Braden wanted fiery little Maddie the second he laid eyes on her - and he'd do anything to have her, hence why he's agreed to make her fall in love with him. After all, it's the only way he'll get what he wants. Sex.
But, as Braden discovers, there's more to the girl from Brooklyn than he ever imagined - and he can't help but care about the broken girl behind those pretty green eyes.
Maddie finds Braden isn't just a walking erection - he actually has feelings. He can be sweet, funny and his good looks don't exactly hurt. That means trouble - but when her brother Pearce turns up in Berkeley begging for her help, she realises Braden and Pearce aren't so alike anymore.
And maybe, just maybe, they're exactly what each other needs.

Emma has done it again, all because she's pretty badass.

Okay, so here is the thing. I have this friend, and her name is Dani Morales. Some of you may know her as one half of the Crazy Book Chicks.

Will love conquer all or will a sacrifice be made?

                                                                             Excerpt

I immediately feel as if this is the bookstore I’ve been searching for. I push the door open at the same time someone on the inside is pulling it open. It causes me to stumble, ungracefully I might add, into the chest of a remarkably fit guy. Immediately I feel my face flush scarlet and try to step back. His strong hands are flexing on my waist to steady me. I realize that I'm shaking.

When my wits start to focus, I inhale and am assaulted by the most sensual masculine scent I have ever smelt. It is like the smell of rain mixed with laundry soap and desire. Okay. Maybe I am just smelling my own desire. I’ve never been so insanely attracted to someone without even seeing his face. That’s when I notice my hands have embedded themselves into his royal blue shirt. I let go and take a step back. His hands drop to his sides and ball into fists. He’s wearing some faded blue jeans that are just a little baggy and look perfect on him. His shirt is form fitting, and if I hadn't already felt up his chest and stomach, I would have noticed his abs through his shirt. My gaze finally lands on his face, and all thoughts immediately vacate the area.
He has beautiful hazel eyes that could rival my own. They hold humor in their depths. His lips are absolutely perfect. I just want to kiss them to see if they were as soft as they look and run my fingers through his untamed black hair. His face looks like it has been sculpted from marble, very tan marble. His smile break whatever spell I was under, and I feel completely embarrassed. I was caught checking him out. I don’t do that. What the hell is wrong with me? Speak April. You look so stupid right now.
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to, umm, fall into you and, uh, mess up your shirt.”
The smile gets bigger, and his eyes shine like there’s light behind them. Electricity shoots through my body. Every molecule inside me is aware of his proximity and wants to touch and caress him.
“No, I’m sorry. I was so busy talking to Gran that I got distracted, and I wasn’t paying attention to see if someone was outside.”
His voice is a deep, seductive sound that oozes charm and confidence. This is retarded. I’m having some intense feelings for this guy that I don’t know and probably don’t have a chance in hell with.
“No harm done. Thanks for, umm, catching me?”
Why did I just phrase that as a question? I need to get away from this guy; he’s making thinking extremely difficult. I try to step around him into the store and stop dead in my tracks. This store is perfection. I guess pausing makes him think I'm waiting for him to say something else.
“No problem at all.”

And just so you know what book you are looking for, this is what it looks like!

It's such a pretty cover, if you ask me. I cannot wait for the thirteenth to role around so I can purchase this book. I cannot wait to read it, and have it on my bookshelf!

 Congratulations  Dani! You've done it!
